Sushi roll..

this is quite great. if you have the time and patience, to watch the camera's journey reveals a little something about japan. it is a lovely view of families and friends out at their local family restaurant, and i like how no one makes a really big kerfuffle about the camera passing on by. the comments are mostly along the lines of 'what's this?', the kids are great, one woman orders two of the camera:) and when it gets to the kitchen, the waitresses are worried that someone has forgotten it, but the waiter knows it was the gaijin who placed it on to take the movie of the restaurant. he is totally polite in his references to the film makers, and the staff pop it back on the conveyor for it to complete its journey. it (perhaps surprisingly) makes a really nice little, human film.

note: i am not sure if this was one of the first to do this, but when i searched for it on youtube, there were quite a few, which is a bit of a pity i think, i thought it was a nice little once off thing. i particularly like the style of the gaijin who made this one, very understated, this one is by far the best...
